Bayahibe is one of the most beautiful areas in the southeast of the tropical country. This small fishing village is located in the province of La Altagracia and only about 20 minutes by car from the city of La Romana, about half an hour from Punta Cana and an hour and a half from Santo Domingo.

Bayahibe and Dominicus are two coastal towns belonging to the province of La Altagracia, but due to their close proximity to La Romana and similar coastlines they are associated with this province.

Bayahibe and Dominicus were rural fishing communities, they have spectacular white sand beaches and crystal clear turquoise waters, on their shores there are important hotels such as the Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus, Viva Dominicus Beach and Palace, Catalonia Gran Dominicus, Be Live Canoa, Dreams The Roman. The local people are hospitable and live from fishing, and where handicrafts, humble homes, modern hotels and endemic flora (Pereskia quisqueyana or Bayahibe flower) come together.

Bayahibe is a bay of a beauty that surprises those who visit it, excursion boats depart from its shores to visit Isla Saona and Isla Catalina, in addition to its beautiful soft white sand beaches. It also has abundant populated coral reefs. by fish, molluscs and crustaceans, the terrestrial area with mangroves and the Parque Nacional del Este. We do not forget the sunsets that alone are worth the trip.
